چکیده
Cytomegalovirus (CMV)is a member of the Herpes viridae family, its seroprevalence is high in general population. CMV infection immunocompromised serious, sometimes fatal complication that can affect several organs. For immunocompetent patients, this usually pauci- or asymptomatic, which evolves spontaneously favorably and does not require specific treatment. However, primary be exceptionally serious with multivisceral involvement, for antiviral treatment indicated generally quickly favorable response. In article, we present an unusual case hepatitis pancreatitis due to patient. The diagnosis was retained after excluding most frequent potential causes acute hepatitis, brief review literature.

Cytomegalovirus-Induced Hepatitis in an Immunocompetent Patient
BACKGROUND Hepatitis is a descriptive term given for any inflammation of the liver. It can be characterized as inflammatory cells infiltrating normal hepatic parenchyma, which destroys their ability to perform normal physiologic functions. Hepatitis is a common disorder in immunocompetent populations, mainly attributed to viruses, alcohol, drugs, or autoimmune causes. CASE REPORT Cytomegalovi...
متن کاملCytomegalovirus Colitis in an Immunocompetent Patient: Report of a Case
Abstract Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a virus that can be consider as invasive infection after transplantation or chemotherapy, long-term corticosteroid users or in immunodeficient patients such as HIV. Different complications were seen in immunocompetent patients but colitis rarely occurs. The diagnosis of CMV was based on pathology by colonoscopy, positive CMV antigen and high CMV-IgM titer serum...
متن کاملPulmonary embolism and acute cytomegalovirus infection in an immunocompetent patient.
A case of an immunocompetent man with acute CMV infection associated with a pulmonary embolism is described. Acute CMV infection could be a risk factor for developing thromboembolism. Pulmonary embolism should be included in differential diagnosis in patients with acute CMV infections and pulmonary opacities.
متن کاملCytomegalovirus infection in immunocompetent patients.
Symptoms associated with cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection in immunocompetent patients are not well documented. From December 1998 through June 2001, serum samples obtained from 7630 patients in Cambridge and Chelmsford, United Kingdom, were tested for CMV immunoglobulin M. CMV immunoglobulin G avidity was used to confirm CMV infection. A total of 124 patients (106 patients treated by general pra...
متن کاملAcute cytomegalovirus hepatitis in immunocompetent host.
BACKGROUND In inmunocompetent hosts, cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection is generally asymptomatic. It may however present as infectious mononucleosis. Serious complications have rarely been reported. We report three cases of acute CMV hepatitis in immunocompetent men for the first time from Bangladesh. All three presented to us with features of acute hepatitis of variable duration preceded by prod...
